I taught English, Philosophy, Literature, and History to high school students in Guadalajara, Mexico. I was also an editor in an English Composition class. I helped students read a topic, and then form their thesis statements. I would assist them in learning how to write a high quality essay. The students were then able to use their work as their entrance requirement to universities and colleges all over the United States. The mechanics of language can be complex. Being able to decipher grammar can be difficult. I enjoy helping my students achieve their goals of excellent skills in English and Spanish. I am also able to tutor math, science, and history. Math wasn't easy for me while I was in school, but I have a good understanding of it as adult. I have a lot of empathy for students that find it confusing.I graduated from Lake Forest College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. I have a paralegal certificate with honors from Roosevelt University, Chicago. I like to develop good relationships with my students by finding out their interests and designing my lessons around that. It is fun to get to know my students by talking to them. I my free time I enjoy swimming, travel, and study. I am a two year member of the Evanston Wildcat Masters Swim Team. I was named the most improved female swimmer of the year.
